Saj takle košček kruha je res majhna stvar,
lahko izgubiš kjerkoli ga na svetu:
na cesti, v kinu in pri nogometu.
In če zgubiš ga, praviš: Kaj mi mar!
Brez tega koščka kruha grem po svetu.
A krajec ta postane važna stvar,
Ballad of a Slice of Bread
This little slice of bread is really a small thing,
you can lose it anywhere in the world
on the street, at the movies
or while playing football.
And if you lose it you will say:
"So, what? I'll just go around the world without it."
But this slice of bread becomes important,
if somebody takes it from somebody else.
There will be a struggle
because everybody wants their share.
From such a spark a fire will break out,
and in a flash, it will spread around the world.
And like that it will remain until everyone in the world
is allowed to cut his own slice of bread.
The earth will never be dry of blood
because believe me – it’s a huge thing,
that little slice of bread.
Balada o komadiću kruha
Taj komadić kruha stvarno je mala stvar
možeš ga izgubiti svugdje na svijetu:
na cesti, u kinu i pri nogometu.
A kad ga stvarno izgubiš kažeš: «Nije mi mar!
Bez tog komadića kruha idem po svijetu.»
A taj komad postane važna stvar,
